Writing Contest Winner!
Congratulations to the winner of our Writing Contest, Jessie! Read her submission below:
"Ontario has always been a wasteland- or at least that’s what I’d been convinced. The woods are too buggy, the land too flat and the wildlife too elusive. That was until I learnt how to observe. Suddenly I was finding carnivorous plants, endangered reptiles and prehistoric insects bumbling under my nose. I had never realised the wetlands and forests right outside my door are powerhouses of biodiversity full of organisms I had only assumed lived in faraway lands. With patience the world revealed to me it’s beating heart- an Ontario more wild and remarkable than I had ever imagined."
